How can I get Image Studio?

To start using Image Studio, contact us or sign up for the trial version.

If you already use Amplience Content Studio, then you automatically have access to Image Studio.

Your organization admin can see whether your account is set up to use Image Studio, by checking if it's listed as an additional service on the Account Management Usage tab.

Is Image Studio free?

Image Studio uses our AI services and each time you make use of one of these services you will be spending Amplience credits. See Amplience credits.

How many credits does Image Studio use?

The number of credits used varies based on what you're doing. The tooltips let you know how many credits an action requires.

When generating backgrounds, the credit usage will vary based on:

  • How many variants you decide to create
  • The model you select

Which types of devices can I use Image Studio on?

How does Image Studio support workflow?

Image Studio lets you quickly edit images as part of your content creation process without the need to ask your graphics team. Once Image Studio is enabled on your account you can use it to edit images independently from content, or while you're authoring with Dynamic Content.

Which extensions support Image Studio?

Once you have Image Studio enabled on your account, you can use it with these extensions:

Why is the "Edit in Image Studio" icon missing?

The "Edit in Image Studio" icon may not display if an image field has been customized with an extension. You can check to see if additional customization exists by looking in the content type schema.

Can I launch it from Content Studio?

No, Image Studio can't be launched from Content Studio.

Editing images

Will my original image file be updated?
Link copied!

Image Studio creates copies of your original images, keeping your originals safe. You can view your original at any time using the switch at the top of the studio window. See downloading and saving.

Creating new saved images

When you use Image Studio as part of your authoring workflow with Dynamic Content, saving an image always create a new image with a new name. See Saving images as part of your workflow.

Why can't I resize an object?

Resizing can only be performed on foreground objects, that is, objects that have previously had their backgrounds removed or changed. See Adjusting foreground objects.

AI models

Which AI models does Image Studio support?

Image Studio currently supports AI model DALL-E 3 and DALL-E 2.

Can I select which AI model is used?

Not yet for Image Studio. The ability to choose between models or use your own is on our roadmap.

Files and file types

Supported files and file types:

  • Images of up to 16 MP (4000 x 4000 pixels) which do not exceed the maximum file size of 68MB
  • Images in the following formats: JPEG, PNG
  • Images with the RGB color space only. Images with any other color space, such as CMYK, are not supported

Does Image Studio work with all images or just photos?

Currently, Image Studio works most effectively with photos.
