Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of People & Culture, EMEA with the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
- Help to collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage daily HR administrative tasks, including employee onboarding, off-boarding, and personnel file maintenance.
- Ensure accurate and reliable management of HRIS data.
- Prepare and distribute HR-related documents such as contracts, offer letters, and HR policies and procedures
- Process employee changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations, promptly
- Prepare HR-related reports and metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees' inquiries, concerns, and grievances and provide timely and effective resolutions.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on handling employee performance issues, including performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
- Mediate conflicts and disputes between employees and management to facilitate positive outcomes and maintain a productive work environment.
- Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development planning.
- Support training and development initiatives by identifying training needs, coordinating training programs, and tracking employee development activities.
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and legal requirements to ensure compliance and effectiveness in HR operations.
- As directed, research and undertake specific projects and initiatives.
- Serve as a contingency for Global payroll operations.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to our Manchester and Middlesbrough offices.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- CIPD Level 3 qualification is a must, and/or working towards CIPD Level 5.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist is a must.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations
- Experience in the US and international HR would be desirable for this role.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Proven problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Highly collaborative and adaptable approach, cultivating an environment of trust, inclusion, and belonging.
- The ability and willingness to ask questions about ways to tackle processes and programs.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
