Taking effect over Q1 2023, changes will lead to a new growth phase with plans to double revenue by 2025.

LONDON & NEW YORK, January 27, 2023 - Amplience, the leading digital experience platform, has announced that after 15 years, James Brooke, Amplience Founder and Rory Dennis, Co-Founder & General Manager, will be stepping down from their full-time executive roles during the course of Q1 2023 as part of a founder-led company transition.

Management of the organisation will be handed over to a shared leadership team headed up by John Williams, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Rob Walter, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), and David Rich, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). These executives will work with the Amplience Board to select a new CEO who will join an experienced team in delivering the next phase of growth.

Since its inception in 2008, Amplience has experienced an incredible journey. It has grown from 10 to almost 200 employees across three locations in the UK and as well as locations in the USA and Europe, and now serves many well-respected brands such as Crate & Barrel, Ulta Beauty, Asda, The Very Group, Gap, Argos, Otto and Currys. During this time, revenues have grown more than 100x and Amplience has been recognized as a global leader by analyst firms Forrester and IDC.

The transition will provide an opportunity for existing and new talent to emerge and for the company’s leadership to address the next scale-up phase. Amplience will put in place ambitious plans for growth which aim to double revenue in the next two years.

“In 2008, Rory and I had a plan to simplify the production and management of digital experiences for ecommerce teams by unifying CMS, Rich Media and DAM on one intuitive and powerful SaaS platform,” said James Brooke, Amplience Founder. “Today, we are strategically positioned to outperform rivals with our clear roadmap on DXP and Amplience is one of the leading MACH certified CMS vendors disrupting the enterprise CMS and composable commerce markets.

We are proud to have taken the concept from inception to a position of global leadership. Now, with the initial company building stage complete and the business well-funded, it is time for us to take a step back and let a new team with the right skills, experience and vision take Amplience to the next level. We have great confidence in passing on the baton to the team that will take Amplience forward.”
