Amplience, the leading on-demand Big Content platform for retailers across Europe and North America has concluded three key hires as it seeks to accelerate the last 12 months’ strong growth.
Rob Shaw, formerly Global Vice President - General Business, Customer Engagement and Commerce at Hybris, joins the firm as Vice President of Sales. With over 20 years experience in technology sales, including almost a decade in fast growing, consumer facing, enterprise applications, Rob is renowned for a strategic, forward thinking, approach and a track record for guiding sales teams to deliver an average of 60-70% year on year growth.
Rob’s immediate focus is on driving sales excellence in EMEA to aid the company's on-going revenue growth. Rob will be responsible for leading the company's EMEA sales organisation to increase new customer acquisition and maximize revenue per customer through the improved adoption of Amplience’s Big Content Platform.
Former Marks & Spencer Programme Manager, Craig Smith, has also joined the senior team at Amplience. The firm’s new Vice President of Solutions & Customer Success, Craig will architect and scale this vitally important team, and will materially strengthen Amplience by driving greater customer advocacy and solution delivery as the team expands to accommodate a rapidly growing customer base.
Craig, also a 20-year veteran of the retail industry, is known as one of the main subject matter experts of in-store digital in the UK. Recent successes include M&S’ £180m multi-channel re-platform – the world’s largest – as well as the delivery of its in-store digital pilots and taking them from concept all the way through to full production rollout.
Ian Matthias, meanwhile, joins Amplience as Product Director. Ian joins from Hybris, where he was the Senior Product Manager leading the firm’s core/B2C Commerce products, and more recently its forthcoming Hybris Customer Experience offering. Drawing on his wide ranging eight years of experience at Hybris, Portaltech Reply and Royal Mail, Ian will build the product management practice inside Amplience, whilst playing a key role in steering Amplience’s product and go-to-market strategies.
