# Scheduling- slot visualization

**Release date: 28th October 2025**

This release introduces the ability to visualize slots directly from the [Scheduling editions page](https://amplience.com/developers/docs/user-guides/schedule-content/schedule-edition/) - letting you see all content items in a slot at once - without needing to schedule it first.

> **Note:** To use this feature your developers will need to configure visualizations for slots. See the [Developer guide for visualizations](https://amplience.com/developers/docs/dev-tools/guides-tutorials/visualizations/).

**Also in this release:** You can now save an empty slot without needing to add placeholder content first.

## Visualizing a slot from an edition

Once developers have configured a visualization for a slot, you can view the slot after it's been added to an edition, by selecting it.

You can freely switch between slot and individual content item visualizations by selecting the slot or item you want to view.

The slot visualization will be available whether the content is scheduled or not.

## Refreshing a slot visualization

If content is updated and the visualization becomes out of date, you’ll be prompted to refresh it.

> **Note:** If visualization is not configured on a hub, the eye icon will not display when a slot or a content item is selected.
