The Technical Consultant is responsible for capturing customer requirements for custom solutions and Amplience platform implementations.  They will define a solution that meets the business requirements/needs and then support the customer and internal team on how to use the developed solution.
 
The Technical Consultant will have developed and be well practiced at applying methods to gather requirements from business teams.  They should have the appropriate level of technical skills to analyse the requirements and recommend a solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with client stakeholders to identify their core business processes and elicit business requirements
  • Lead the engagement with business users to define the business requirements by understanding the business needs
  • Facilitation of client workshops where applicable to understand business workflows and requirements and/or present and validate potential solutions
  • Become an Amplience platform expert who determines the optimum technical solutions for integration with third party platforms
  • Assists internal teams by providing clarifications on business and system requirements
  • Identify re-occurring requirement patterns across customer projects and evangelise the need for generic / re-usable solutions
  • Provide end-user support for the developed solution
  • Work with all of the Senior Solution and Solution Consultants to groom and prioritise the backlog
  • Act as the interface to the development team to action and deliver the required work to the customer

Skills Knowledge and Expertise


  • Frontend web development experience: HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience of working in development teams  (Scrum, Sprint or Waterfall)
  • Understanding of the key technical architecture principles around the Amplience product set and the e-commerce domain.
  • Demonstrable ability to break problems down into small component parts and provide options.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of web architecture.
  • Commercial awareness of the business domain, drivers and solution impact.
  • Is able to understand the business sponsor’s drivers and tailor their engagement techniques appropriately.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead the interpretation and analysis of existing reporting or data, along with ability to drive data analysis into conclusions and actions.
  • Experience of working and collaborating with disparate and often virtual teams.
  • Good leadership skills which inspire confidence.
  • Exerts positivity and possesses a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritise multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a demanding customer base.
  • Embraces and responds well to change in a dynamic and fast changing sector.
  • Ability to organise their work when under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building and communications abilities and ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Must be detail oriented with good organisational skills.
