Amplience is looking for a UX/UI Designer who has an eye for exciting, attention-getting, and engaging web design that consistently elevates the marketing of our brand + platform through exceptional web-based layout, user experience, and UI design skills. Key to this role is the ability to create cohesive, on-brand web experiences using atomic foundational elements and consistent UI building blocks.

This role requires a creative and detail-oriented, systemic thinker, who enjoys defining and building web design patterns, elements, and resources. It is a highly collaborative role that works with product marketing, creative, and dev teams. Key Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is a versatile designer–someone who is equally comfortable taking on UX tasks as well as providing polished visual design for responsive websites. Creates elegant layout design that tells a story with thoughtful typography, color, and composition. Can create hero images and feature banners to cross-promote initiatives. Has an eye for creating iconography and illustration to enhance page design. Comes up with creative solutions that work within the brand style and current UX/UI systems.

Has extensive experience working on and developing atomic design systems in support of pattern libraries and overarching design systems. Has knowledge of and designs around HTML/CSS/JS, including a deep understanding of modular components, grids, and responsive design, and a has a high-level understanding of modern javascript frameworks (ie Next.js)

Can work on your own or in collaboration, conceptualizing, exploring, and iterating from sketches to high fidelity designs and prototypes based upon requirements. Quickly creates low-fidelity designs to prove out a conceptual customer journey prior to high-fidelity design work. 

Takes a systemic approach to thinking about design, with strong attention to details ensuring visual consistency and appeal. Pays keen attention to detail & efficient workflow manner required in order to provide top-level design work with reasonable turnaround times. Evidences a passion for delivering adaptive and creative solutions to web design problems by staying up to date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience and interface design. Offers creative solutions for improving various areas on the site. Has a user-focused design mentality, who is constantly sharpening their instincts through user feedback and/or data insight. Can analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and draw conclusions to make design decisions. Is able to brainstorm, develop, and execute big design concepts that are rooted in strategy and answer business needs.

Takes initiative to keep site design evolving. Proposes updates to design architecture based on discovered trends and patterns. Is comfortable initiating discussions with developers and creative team members to understand business goals while effectively communicating design ideas. Is confident in presenting their work across teams to generate buy-in and adoption, articulating and presenting the process and logic behind their design decisions. Is confident in giving and receiving constructive and collaborative feedback. Though this should be the case without saying, has excellent written and verbal communication skills. Will work closely with site management and development to verify QA updates and design are successfully implemented. 

Is self-motivated to drive the work forward, dealing with ambiguity at times. Is an “owner” of everything they work on—sees their projects through from concept to completion with care and attention to detail. Is a Multi-tasker with time-management skills, having the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience as a UI/UX designer and/or in a creative setting as a Website Designer, Digital Designer, Visual Designer
  • A portfolio of professional UI/UX and design work for web
  • Experience working with Enterprise level teams or higher
