The Amplience team had a great time last week at Shop.org! Now that we’re back from Dallas and reflecting on our experiences at retail’s digital summit, we thought we’d take a look back at some of the moments that stood out for us.
The opening night reception made it clear that this would be Shop.org event to remember. Held on the lawn of the Omni Dallas Hotel, the party had a strong Texas theme—replete with a mechanical bull, corn hole games and even an armadillo race! It was a great opportunity to catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones.
The summit officially kicked off on Tuesday, September 27th with a keynote on the future of technology and commerce with Marc Maron and Dr. Michio Kaku. Walking around the exhibit hall, a lot of booth messaging and vendor pitches focused on common buzz words—“personalization,” “omni-channel,” “customization” and “cloud” all featured prominently at the event.
Amplience saw great traffic at our booth and had some really interesting conversations with customers, partners and other retail technology providers. The booth design featured very sophisticated imagery highlighting our “Dynamic Content for Personalized Experiences” messaging. To help booth visitors learn more about how Amplience can help brands meet the Big Content Challenge we featured case studies from Theory and Saks Fifth Avenue—check them out here. We also had a lot of interest in our giveaways, which included branded pink footballs, notebooks, journals and customized T-shirts. The latter was made possible by a configurator built by Fluid and Amplience—below is a picture of our team wearing our customized shirts at the booth.
Some additional impressions from our time at the show:
It was such a great week and our entire team felt inspired by the sessions we attended and the conversations we had at the booth and throughout the exhibit hall. Shop.org has an excellent recap of the week’s highlights here so be sure to check it out if you missed it. We’re already looking forward to #Shoporg17!
